Building and Standards Commission

The Building and Standards Board is a crucial quasi-judicial board responsible for overseeing cases related to substandard buildings, dangerous structures, and violations of building codes. With the authority to enforce safety and compliance, the Building and Standards Board has the power to mandate repairs, order the vacating of properties, or even call for the demolition of structures deemed hazardous. Its role ensures that communities are protected from unsafe buildings, promoting public health and safety through rigorous adherence to established building standards.
