Unclaimed Property and Funds

The City of Mercedes is currently holding unclaimed cash valued up to $100 from uncashed vendor payments, deposits, utility refunds, court fees, overpayment or any other transactions. This property is presumed abandoned or unclaimed subject to Chapter 76 of the Texas Property Code.

You may have unclaimed property if your name or business name appears on the unclaimed property listing. Any person possessing legal or beneficial interest in the reported property may obtain a claim form below. A completed claim form in addition to the specified proof of ownership will be necessary to establish the owner’s right to receive the property.
