Historic Preservation Grant

In an effort to preserve historical properties within the city limits of Mercedes the Mercedes Historic Preservation Commission, City Commission, and City administration created a matching grant program for locally recognized historic properties for the maintenance, preservation, and enhancement of the facade, roof, or leveling of a property.

Historic properties are eligible for all three grants each fiscal year. The guidelines and application must be completed and approved prior to any work commencing in order to be eligible for a matching grant.
