The City of Mercedes Parks & Building Maintenance Division is committed to building strong communities and a vibrant economy by providing safe and beautiful parks and facilities through effective collaboration, and creative thinking.

The Parks Division strives to deliver quality customer service through the maintenance of the City’s public parks, recreation centers, and facilities to create an environment that is deemed safe, affordable and enriching for residents and visitors alike.

The Department is responsible for maintaining the 7 city parks and all the City’s buildings. Some of our parks have barbecue grills, playgrounds, walking trails, and more. Parks support some exciting outdoor activities with facilities for basketball, swimming, softball, rollerblading, walking, jogging, biking, and other fun activities.
