Mercedes Fire Department Volunteers

The volunteer firefighters of Mercedes Fire Department play a key role in the protection and safety of our community. Our volunteers respond alongside our paid personnel, or on their own when call volume exceeds available resources. The volunteer firefighters meet on a weekly basis to ensure that their apparatus are response ready and conduct training that hones their skills as firefighters. Being a volunteer requires dedication and a service above self mentality. Our volunteers proudly uphold the traditions and professionalism of our department and remain ready to respond when our community needs them.
