Roads

The City's roads are overseen by our Public Works Department. Every day, the City of Mercedes Public Works Department is on the field, delivering the best service possible to the City’s residents, visitors, and workers by maintaining right-of-ways, streets, parks, and other infrastructure. The Public Works Department operates with two divisions Streets and Utilities. They also work closely together with the Parks & Building Maintenance Department. 

The Public Works Departments Mission is:

“To manage and provide infrastructure and services for all members of the community while keeping high standards of excellence, integrity, and stewardship.”
