MPD Fraudulent Check Info Release

Mercedes PD was quick to investigate and solve reports of suspicious fraudulent activity. No city employees or elected officials were deemed to be involved. As of today, June 1st, MPD secured an arrest of one of the individuals involved in the fraud with the help of outside agencies to ensure transparencies in the case. Additional information will be shared as it becomes available.
